In pure Jazzy fashion of self-obsession, I’ve created this new timeline cover. Love my head wrap and earrings…

For today’s “Friday Five,” I chose five pieces from Springcart Boutique to create an “arm party.” Take a look at the pieces I have chosen and let me know which ones you would like to add to your “arm party.”

Soooo, I have friends in jeweled places and Dabanga Jewelry and Darrell Roach Designs gifted me with some AMAZING pieces!!! Take a look at the feathered earrings from @Dabanga and my broach and ring by DRD and his new Mama Collection. Oh and all ye natural hair lovers, my hair is by Tina Trammel @calitinahair of Rehab Salon @rehabsalon in Hollywood! I admit that while some of the earrings looks like dismembered animals, I liked quite a few of them. They’re all unique and BIG which I totally dig. Shouts out to Ms. Priss and her fab new accessories. Take look at what she got:

If you haven’t heard of the blogger, Love Maegan, you are definitely missing out on some great DIY projects! Maegan offers such great DIY tutorials that are not only originial but also practical for those who are less crafty. These DIY neon shoes are by far my favorite to date and wanted to share how simple it is to create a color blocking shoe that you can customize all your own.

What You’ll Need:

• Shoes in a near natural/raw leather state sans major finishes.
• Rubbing alcohol, a cloth, q-tips.
• Nail polishes, including white.
• Nail polish remover and a fine or thin/angled paintbrush.
• Paint brushes {you may choose to just use the brushes that come in the nail polish bottles, which ended up being a better choice than the synthetic brushes because the nail polish brushes left less brush marks and applied thicker coats}.
• Drying racks… I used a candlestick and a paper towel dispenser.
• Hair dryer is optional, speeds up the drying process.
• Painter’s tape.

Details are everything! Bold accessories, statement necklaces, that extra pop of color. All transform an outfit from ordinary to extraordinary! The great part is, It doesn’t take a lot of time and combing simple pieces from your wardrobe with bold accessories will make all the difference. I heart this picture of model, dancer, and coach/educator, Zahra Aprili. Very colorful both in her images and personality, she balances three career paths and is on the planning committee of Core Models (where she is a member) sister company’s Core DJ’s Mix Show Live 2012 in Texas.
